Kara Richardson Whitely, adventurer, author, speaker and executive producer, is toasting the latest step in her journey. Her memoir Gorge: My Journey Up Kilimanjaro at 300 Pounds will be made into a major motion picture. Kara will talk about the arduous journey -- not up Africa's highest peak three times but even harder -- staying true to your goals and dreams until they come to life.

We're celebrating at the Co-Co, Summit's original co-working and co-learning space because that's where Kara learned her movie deal closed and this was really happening.
